Say “Ow!” when something hurts, rather than tighten your body to resist expressing the pain.
HALT. Recognise when you are Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired, then it’s time to HALT and take care of yourself by eating, talking, reaching out or resting.
Try to keep regular sleep cycles with no more than 1 hour variation since many body rhythms are acclimated around regular sleep patterns.
See the beauty of nature around you. Stop to take a deep breath and look at plants, trees, animals, water and sky from time to time and enjoy them.
Try not to guess or worry about what other people are thinking.Just respond to what they actually say or do, and, if you think there’s something else happening, just ask for more information by saying “Is there anything else you want to tell me?” Then respond to whatever they say.
